Lots of sorrow lately...

My ex husband lost his battle with cancer Friday. At least he is not suffering anymore! My kids are hanging in there but it will be a long tough road. Keep them in your prayers.

Vegas Trip

Well Thursday September 11th I was helping at my son's school when my husband showed up. I could tell something was wrong by the look on his face and in his eyes. I assumed it was my ex-husband (he has cancer). Well I was wrong and it was horrible news. My sister-in-law Eleise passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. She was 39. My brother is devastated and they have a 6 yr old daughter. Please keep them in your prayers. So Scott, Jesse and I drove to Las Vegas and were there a whole week. We did get to visit with my ex-husband 4 times while we were there. I swear he looked weaker and thinner from Monday to Wednesday. It is unfortuneate that I will probably be having to go back sooner rather than later. We did however get to see a lot of family that we haven't seen in a long time, which was nice. It is sad that you always have those reunions over not so happy reasons. Life is complicated and I am either really, really strong or I am at the breaking point!

No news is good news

Things have been quiet in my world but sometimes that worries me too like the calm before the storm. Everyone is well right now. Thursday is my niece April's birthday and we are thankful that she is celebrating her 28th birthday. She is battling breast cancer for the 2nd time around in 3 years. She has 3 beautiful children and I just pray that she is able to see them grow. Mike is still hanging in there. He is not eating as much as we would like but since getting the pain patch he is doing much better. I started selling Avon again and I am enjoying it. They have the neatest stuff. If you need anything you know where to find me! :)

Vegas

Well I had a good visit in Las Vegas with family and friends. I was so thankful that I went to see my ex, we had 2 great visits and they day I left he was taken to the hospital by ambulance. They found another mass in his stomach. Not sure what happens next but they put him on a pain patch. I just don't want him to have to suffer anymore! The pic is before he was really bad!

Leaving on a jet plane!

I am leaving today for Las Vegas. I am so excited to see my kids and my grandson!! The not so fun part is seeing my ex-husband who has been battling cancer. I hope he is having some ok days when I get to visit with him. Otherwise I will have to keep my visit short. He has been amazing and strong throughout this ordeal. I am faced with preparing our children for something I have not even faced myself. Losing a parent. How do I do that??

Cancer sucks!

I am flying back to Las Vegas over Labor Day to visit with my kids. My ex-husband has been battling Melanoma skin cancer. He is not doing well so I want to make sure I go and see him while I can. I am still praying for that miracle! On a lighter not I get to see my grandson who turns 1 on August 21st. YAY

The many blogs I read!

I have started reading blogs that give me links to other blogs and now I read about 10 everyday. They have become part of my family. It seems as if my prayer list gets longer everyday. It all started with a set of twins that were born too soon. From there blog I read about a family affected by CF also with a preemie. From there blog I was turned on to 3 more blogs who were affected by CF. Also led me to a family with 11 kids living in Mexico and spreading the word of God. I now have been reading a blog of a young mother who was just diagnosed with Cancer. Cancer has affected my own life so I just keep praying for all my new blogging friends!! Thanks for letting ME be a part of YOUR worlds!
